About the hike
It’s time to enjoy another hike together! Are you in on Sunday 17th (new date) in the area of Melchsee-Frutt? This popular route between Melchsee-Frutt and Engelberg is considered to be one of the most beautiful hikes in Central Switzerland. From the very start a mythical world of mountains and lakes unfolds before your eyes. We will be hiking around four lake (Melchsee, Tannensee, Engstlensee and Trübsee). On our way we will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the Bernese Alps and at the end Mount Titlis. The four lake hike is rather intense alpine hike with one challenging ascent and descent. We recommend for this hike good hiking shoes with a good grip and proper equipment. Please also bring enough water and food/snacks. Important: This hike is longer/more intense, so you need to have a good fitness level and know your limits!
Distance: 15km
Height: from 1,899m to 2,206m above sea level
Difference in altitude: ascent 640m/descent 760m
Hiking time: 5 hours
