We’re all set—most of the new 2026 hike dates have been finalized! A few more hikes may be added later in the year. If you don’t want to miss the registration deadline for hikes, we recommend signing up for our event newsletter—that’s where we’ll announce it first as soon as a hike opens for registration! By the way, the newsletter is completely ad-free. You can sign up using the form directly below the hiking dates!
Important information about the hikes
As far as possible, we’ve set the dates again this year, especially for our popular cabin weekend! Please note a few important details in advance:
- Tour Registration and Routes: Each hike organizer decides approximately 2–3 weeks before the tour where the hike will take place, depending on current weather conditions. You can register via the website about two weeks before the hike date. If you don’t want to miss out, sign up for the event newsletter or join our WhatsApp community (more info below).
- Where we hike: This depends on who is leading the hike. Vanessa is based in Valais, so her hikes are mostly in that region. Vicky is based in Central Switzerland. Pascale can usually be found in the Bernese Oberland. Katerina, Ariane, and Julia cover Northern/Eastern Switzerland, though they may occasionally venture into other regions.
- Difficulty level: The hikes are rated up to a maximum of T3—not because we wouldn’t want to do more, but for liability reasons, we unfortunately cannot offer more difficult levels as private individuals. Our tours always include a difficulty rating. Please also note the information at the bottom of the page!

Event Newsletter & our Whatsapp Community
Always be the first to know when a new hike is unlocked! There are two ways to do this: By e-mail with our event newsletter, which you can sign up for here (it’s ad-free!)
Or via our Whatsapp community. It works like this: In the main group “Announcements” we publish all new hiking dates and anything else that might be of interest to you throughout Switzerland (events, films, etc.). To join, send us an e-mail with the subject “Whatsapp Community” and we will send you the invitation link to the group – this is how we want to prevent spam.
Online Calls: Everything You Need to Know About Hiking
Our one-hour online calls at the start of the summer and winter seasons have proven successful over the past two years, and we will continue to hold them in 2026. You can find the dates in the list above. These calls are aimed at women who are new to summer or winter hiking and want to learn more about the topic. Topics will include, for example:
- How to Plan a Hike
- Which weather apps can help me plan
- What do the trail markers/designations T1 through T6 mean in summer, and what does the WT designation mean in winter
- What should I always pack
- Assessing natural hazards (avalanches, rockfalls, sinkholes, cows…)
- Wildlife reserves & camping rules
- In winter: What do I need to know about snowshoeing
… and much more.
Hiking scale / difficulty level of our tours
Here is an overview of the levels of our hikes:
Easy: You are a beginner or returning hiker and want to start slowly (again). On our “easy” tours, you can expect a slight difference in altitude of less than 500 meters. You have already done some easy hikes and are comfortable with small hills. Example tours: Il Spir > Crestasee > Waldhaus, First – Bachalpsee. Our pace is leisurely with 100-200 meters of altitude per hour. These tours are mainly covered by Ariane, so keep an eye out for her dates.
Medium: The difference in altitude is approx. 500 – 700 m and requires a certain amount of stamina. You have already undertaken a few hikes this season with an altitude difference of at least 500m. You should be used to walking uphill at a good pace over longer distances without being completely out of breath or having to stop every few meters. Example tours: Seealpsee – Ebenalp; Rigi Fruttli – Rigi Kulm; First – Faulhorn. The pace is no longer leisurely, but not fast either. We climb approx. 200-350 vertical meters per hour. Not suitable for beginners.
Hard: Our most challenging tours, where you quickly cover longer distances and 700 meters of altitude or more. You are already experienced and have hiked many kilometers and altitude meters this year. You are familiar with steeper passages and have no problem walking at a steady pace without getting completely out of breath. Definitely not suitable for beginners. Example tours: Zermatt – Schönbielhütte; Haldigrat – Brisen – Klewenalp. On these tours, we tend to walk at a brisk pace and climb around 300-500 meters of altitude per hour.
Last but not least – support us
And last but not least: Our hikes will remain free of charge, but like last year you have the possibility to send the organizers of a hike a small tip via TWINT after the hike for their work (approx. 2 days preparation plus one day to carry out each hike). So if you enjoyed the tour, you are welcome to send whatever you think is appropriate 🙂 You will receive the number to twint from each organizer, as communication before the hike usually takes place via Whatsapp.
