About the hike
We set off from Lago Tremorgio at 1,800 metres above sea level and hike along the beautiful lake. However, we soon climb a steep 250 metres in altitude towards Alpe Campolungo, where, with a bit of luck, we might spot some marmots. We circle Alpe Campolungo towards Capanna Leit and from here have a direct view of Lago di Leit. Here we can take our first break or tackle the final ascent straight away to the start of the ridge walk towards Pizzo Lei die Cima (though we won’t be doing that!). On the way there, we’ll pass further unnamed, crystal-clear lakes and hike through a high-alpine landscape to our official destination and well-deserved rest stop.
From there, we’ll begin the descent in the same direction, past Lago di Lei and Capanna Lei. From here, we’ll branch off towards Fontane and walk round Alpe Campolungo on the other side until we reach Lago Tremorgio again. If we’re still feeling up to it and have the energy, we can either walk all the way round Lago Tremorgio or take the direct, shorter route towards the cable car.
Please note
The hike is advertised as a T2 hike, but requires a great deal of stamina and sure-footedness, precisely because we’ll be in high-alpine terrain. For this reason, the hike is classified as ‘medium-difficult’. Only hikers wearing hiking or trail shoes may take part. Anyone turning up in trainers will not be allowed to join the group.
According to the websites, swimming is permitted in the lakes. So, if you’d like to go for a swim in water that’s 15°C, please bring your swimwear.

How to register
To register, please fill out the form below. Please note that your registration is binding. Places are limited to a maximum of 10 – “first come, first served” 😉 After registering, you will receive confirmation and a message from the organizer shortly.
IMPORTANT: If you are unexpectedly unable to attend, please let us know by July 27th at latest so that we can give others on the waiting list the opportunity to join. Furthermore we need to reserve the cable car. Participants who cancel at short notice will be excluded from future events. We strive to offer our events free of charge and invest a lot of our free time in these events (we all work on a voluntary basis), but unfortunately we have experienced many no-shows/no-replies or last-minute cancellations in recent years, which is demotivating for the organizers. Therefore, we had to establish this rule.
Disclaimer / Please note
The hike is free of charge, but our organizers always appreciate a small tip via TWINT for their volunteer work (organizing and conducting a hike takes about three days of effort). The number will be announced after registration, and you will be invited to join a WhatsApp group. Food and drinks are not included in our hikes and must be brought along by participants. Participation is at your own risk and responsibility, as we are only a volunteer community of friends and not an official tour operator. You will therefore be asked to confirm a disclaimer below. You can find more information in our FAQ.
The hike is currently fully booked. However, you are welcome to register below and we will put you on the waiting list and let you know as soon as a place becomes available!
